Bergdorf Goodman

The retailer Bergdorf Goodman began as a custom-tailoring house and specialty design shop that catered to an exclusive clientele. Ready-to-wear was available as early as 1914, but Bergdorf’s continued to offer custom clothing and millinery well into the 1960s. The store moved to its current location at 5th Avenue and 58th Street in New York City in 1928.
