The contemporary, Delhi-based couturier Rahul Mishra draws on the embroidery talent of artisans across rural India to create luxury fashion that is beautiful and mindful. This salwar kameez (tunic and trousers) uses delicate hand-embroidery to depict a Japanese cherry blossom landscape. The American sportswear detailing at the collar and cuffs further emphasizes Mishra’s international influences and standing in the Euro-American fashion industry.
