This dress from Stella McCartney’s 2017 resort collection is made of sustainably sourced viscose from Sweden. Viscose is a rayon fiber typically derived from wood pulp. Production of it has contributed to extensive deforestation of wildlife habitats. McCartney promotes awareness of product origins and has been a leader in developing eco-friendly practices. She foresees a day when the environmental costs of production will be indicated on garment labels.
