Carlos Miele collaborated with the Coopa-Rocha collective in his native country of Brazil, providing employment to female artisans and helping to preserve traditional crafts. Fuxico is the Portuguese word for “gossip,” but it is also used to refer to the intricate rosettes, seen here, that are hand-stitched by a circle of women who converse as they work.
