A season after his famous “bondage” womenswear collection, Versace designed these leather garments for his menswear collection. The studded pants and perforated vest are a direct reference to Leathermen, a subculture within the gay community that formed in the 1970s. Versace was known for incorporating overt homoerotic references into his menswear designs.
