This twist on the traditional white collared shirt incorporates bondage straps around the chest, a nod to the S&M subculture as appropriated by the punk movement. Fetish wear became an important part of the punk “look” during the 1970s as a visual rejection of mainstream conservatism. Vivienne Westwood and then-husband Malcolm McLaren helped pioneer the style.
