Fashion designers are frequently inspired by the tough-yet-sexy look of motorcycle jackets. In this version by Carolina Herrera, plush velvet replaces the more familiar—and more durable—black leather. Herrera retains some functional elements of the classic motorcycle jacket, however, such as a belted waist that protects against wind.
