Designing under her husband’s name, Beth Levine created some of the most innovative shoes of the period. These strapless sandals were anchored to the wearer’s feet with adhesive pads, an idea supposedly suggested by Vogue editor Diana Vreeland, Levine’s frequent collaborator.
