Rykiel’s 1960s designs showed a preoccupation for collars and cuffs. In addition to the especially slender fit for which Rykiel was known, this coat stands out for its unusual collar: slightly oversize, deeply notched, and sharply angular, it foreshadows the fashion for elongated collars during the 1970s.
DescriptionPale green double knit woolen close fitting coat; very small collar with peaked lapels rolling to left bust is corded with white double knit; long two piece sleeves; arch seam fitted back and long dart from bust to hem at front; small patch pocket top edged with white cording on either side front; small patch pocket above left pocket; white synthetic lining; three button closing off center front. Pale green double knit woolen A-line skirt with inside waistband; stand pocket at right side front; synthetic lined; left side zipper.
