This uniform was issued to members of the Women’s Army Corps (or WACs) during World War II. It is made from the same olive drab as the men’s uniforms, but the jacket is paired with a skirt. Many formal uniforms still include skirts for female members, exposing the gender tension in modern military uniforms.
