Yoshiki Hishinuma worked for Issey Miyake during the 1970s, before starting his own company. Like Miyake, Hishinuma has devoted considerable attention to textile research and experimentation, particularly with treatments for synthetic textiles. For all the modernity of Hishinuma’s textiles, this dress is reminiscent of the body-molding La Sirene dresses of Charles James.
DescriptionLong sheer red evening sheath with styling reminiscent of the Lobster Dress by Charles James; full-length panels and short sleeves of stretch crepe, and chiffon panels shirred and draped at sides, and self ruffle trim along scoop neck and cap sleeves, fishtail hemCollections
