Early 20th century “motorcars” offered little shielding from the elements. After riding on unpaved roads, drivers and passengers would often find themselves covered in dirt. As a protective cover, the duster provided a fashionable solution to this problem. The chic duster seen here features black braid trim and mother-of-pearl buttons on the collar and cuffs.
DescriptionTan linen duster coat with black braid trim; spread collar with braid trim; back with center inverted pleat; and button trimmed tabs at shoulder blades from side panel extension; long raglan variation sleeve with arrow shaped insert at shoulder and pleats at braid trimmed turnback cuffs; front with button trimmed tabs at shoulders from side panel extension; center front concealed placket six button closing.
