Boudicca's signature juxtaposition of masculine/feminine and hard/soft styling is exemplified by this complex ensemble. The front of the look showcases Boudicca's mastery of tailoring, as a crisp cotton blouse is paired with a stiff, sculptural skirt. The skirt then cuts away sharply to the back, revealing layers of black netting that resemble a ballerina's tutu. This suddenly erotic and feminine display plays strongly against the strict and masculine styling seen from the front of the ensemble. This contrast is typical of Boudicca's self-proclaimed aesthetic of "minimalism before chaos."
