The presentation of Helmut Lang’s fall 1998 collection made history. In lieu of a live runway show, clients and the press received a CD-ROM with video footage of the designs. The recording was also made available on the brand’s website. Lang’s prescient idea stemmed from his desire to provide immediate, worldwide access to his latest work.
