This suit is printed to mimic a tailor’s toile, complete with embroidered basting stitches, markings for grain lines, and style number. Rather than crafting the suit from humble muslin, however, designer Christian Francis Roth selected fine silk twill. Roth presented his first collection in 1990, and he quickly developed a reputation for witty designs.
