Marc Jacobs dressed down the traditional day suit by making it out of gingham tablecloth linen. An embroidered army of ants crawling over the shoulder is inspired by surrealism, but the effect is lighthearted rather than sinister. The suit conjures a summer picnic, which is far removed from any setting in which a suit would actually be worn.
