Stephen Burrows designed clothing “to make entrances in at dances and parties.” In the 1970s, his garments were staples at iconic nightclubs like Studio 54. In this ensemble, synthetic gold lamé is draped sensuously around the body to create the effect of “liquid metal,” commanding attention on any dancefloor.
