Ribbed, fitted sweaters, known as “poor boy” sweaters, became a ubiquitous style of the 1960s. Sonia Rykiel is credited for pioneering the design early in the decade, but many other designers created their own versions. The sweaters were chic, versatile, and ideal for showcasing lithe, youthful figures.
