Vivienne Westwood introduced her eighteenth-century-style corset bodices during the 1980s, but the influential “Portrait” collection marked the first time that she printed a painting onto her designs. The artwork depicted here—François Boucher’s Daphnis and Chloe from 1743—is part of the Wallace Collection in London, where the designer frequently sought inspiration.
