Aisha Ayensu founded Christie Brown in Ghana in 2008, driven by her desire to transform traditional African textiles into clothing for modern women. This dress and jacket were inspired by the “eternal optimism” of The Sound of Music. Ayensu transports her heroine to Africa with wax-print florals, paisleys, and a scene of the savannah.
