Azzedine Alaïa’s body-conscious, lingerie-style lace dress and coordinating panties reveal his love of the female form. The Tunisian-born Alaïa led the sexy, powerful Parisian fashion aesthetic of the 1980s and early 1990s. He was a highly-skilled constructionist who incorporated intricate piecing into fashions that emphasize and flatter the body.
DescriptionEvening set; black semi sheer floor length bustier bra evening dress in stretch cotton blend crochet lace, lace pattern in alternating rows of floral and eyelet design, black silk crepe chiffon cut on the bias at lower skirt; sweetheart neckline; narrow shoulder straps; attached beige padded underwire bra in stretch knit; form fitting silhouette with flared skirt; bias, curving seaming with narrow elastic at skirt creates slight shirring, high slit at right side front, uneven fluted hem; hook and eye closure at bra left side, invisible zipper starting at side and curving down front. Beige panties or boy shorts in stretch ribbed knit rayon, polyamide and Spandex blend; fitted below waist hipster style; topstitching at all seams.Collections
