Designer Natalie Chanin founded her label in rural Alabama in 2006. She employs local artisans to hand-sew and embellish stunningly elaborate, made-to-order garments, using a combination of old and new craft techniques. The label epitomizes the “slow fashion” movement, and design theorist Hazel Clark lauds it as “a new kind of couture.”
DescriptionLight blue organic cotton jersey ensemble consisting of matching three-quarter length jacket, wrap-style halter top and wrap skirt with elaborate allover floral print pattern incorporating running-stitch embroidery, cutout petal shapes filled in with iridescent bugle bead applique.
