Christian Lacroix’s love of the eighteenth century is expressed in this evening dress that combines a fichu, or draped scarf, neckline and full, pleated skirt with pointed waist. The short “pouf” style was made fashionable by Lacroix and worn to cocktail parties and gala affairs alike. The bright color and fanciful silhouette embrace the playful exuberance of 1980s nightlife.
