Nettie Rosenstein
Date: founded 1931
Biography: The business Nettie Rosenstein was one of the most important high-end ready-to-wear wholesale houses from 1930s to 1961. The company was founded in 1931 by Nettie Rosenstein, her sister-in-law Eva Rosencrans, and Charles Gumprecht. Both Rosenstein and Rosencrans designed for the company. In 1961 Nettie Rosenstein ceased producing clothing to focus on pocketbooks and other accessories.
