Biography: Kenzo Takada began showing his work in Paris in 1970. LVMH, the French-based fashion conglomerate, purchased the Kenzo name in 1993. Kenzo retired in 1999. By 2003, the Sardinian-born designer Antonio Marras had been hired to design the women’s line. Five years later, he became the company’s sole creative director.
