Isabel Toledo
Date: 1961 - 2019
Biography: Cuban-born Isabel Toledo attended both the Fashion Institute of Technology and Parsons School of Design, but credits her real training to an internship with Diana Vreeland at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Since her first collection in1986,Toledo has been highly regarded by fashion insiders, although little known by the general public. She has been described as a "cult figure" by the New York Times, and one of the "100 designers that count" by Women's Wear Daily.
