Lancetti
Pino Lancetti opened a fashion studio in Rome in 1954, working with the top designers of the Italian Couture. He showed his own line for the first time at the Palazzo Pitti in Florence in 1961, and was soon making clothes for celebrities, from Ginger Rogers to Princess Soraya. He was called the "tailor-painter" because of his constant references to fine art, and he drew inspiration from painters such as Modigliani, Kandinsky, Klimt, Sonia Delaunay, and Matisse. In 1987, to celebrate his 25th year in fashion design, he presented his Picasso Collection.
