The hand-cut, purple suede appliqué on this suit was based on intricate Aztec patterning from a Mexican cowboy (charro) costume. Carla Fernandez melded symbols of the Mexican Revolution—such as an ammunition belt—with fine tailoring to give this suit a modern look.
