​Arlette Nastat co-owned the high-end, ready-to-wear boutique Réal, and she also acted as its designer. In the United States, Réal fashions were adapted by a Seventh Avenue manufacturer and marketed under the name Mademoiselle Arlette. Nastat’s trendy designs were favored by French fashion icons such as Brigitte Bardot, Catherine Deneuve, and Sylvie Vartan.
