An expanse of ivory silk fabric, heavily embroidered with an abstract design, gives this dress an especially bold and graphic quality. A sense of movement and soft femininity is provided by the elasticized bubble hem and the flounces of black organdy fabric on the sleeves. Martine Sitbon’s Rue du Mail collections are known for presenting edgy but romantic dresses that also incorporate the designer’s masterful manipulation of luxury fabrics.
