Thierry Mugler’s adaptation of the ubiquitous “jelly” shoe features his signature sci-fi style. Jelly shoes were first introduced in the 1960s, as a result of the development of injection molding techniques. Simple and inexpensive to produce, they were first marketed in third-world countries, before they became fashionable beach wear.
