Label Text:Voluminous balloon sleeves were one of numerous statement-making styles during the 1930s. Women’s Wear Daily reported that such sleeves were pretty and practical because they allowed the arms to move. This design may have been worn as an evening dress or a hostess gown—pale silks, net inserts, and wrap bodices were regularly used for both.
