Label Text:Vogue announced the “start of lingerie fever” in 1978, describing a trend for luxurious intimate apparel led by designers such as Fernando Sanchez, whose sensuous lingerie could be worn multiple ways. This gown’s soft construction and lightweight fabric made it ideal for lounging, but the cutaway hemline and metallic threads were also suitable for evening wear.
