Label Text:This coat was donated by the American fashion publicist Eleanor Lambert to The Museum at FIT. Its designer, Bill Blass, was Lambert’s client and friend. He was also a favorite designer for her personal wardrobe. Lambert often wore clothing designed by her clients in appreciation of their talents and as an expression of her support.
