Label Text:This dress was perfectly suited for the daily activities of a woman living in occupied Paris during World War II. Long sleeves provided warmth in an unheated home while the skirt’s front fullness allowed for easy mobility when riding a bike, the main mode of transportation. Fashionable touches include a halter neckline discreetly hidden under a knotted mock bolero.
