Label Text:Austrian-born Hattie Carnegie founded one of the most exclusive fashion houses in the United States. Along with importing Parisian haute couture, Carnegie also had a team of in-house designers who created original garments for her discerning clientele.
One of Carnegie’s noted designers was Pauline Fairfax Potter, best remembered as a legendary woman of style, especially after her marriage to Philippe de Rothschild.
