Label Text:A slender body type became the ideal for women during the 1920s. Loosely-fitted clothing, such as this ensemble by Louiseboulanger, de-emphasized the wearer’s curves. Although women’s wear from this era is sometimes described as “androgynous,” these styles also expressed the desire to look youthful and modern.
