DescriptionWhite silk silver lamé wedding dress with train and matching white silk satin shoes, both with wax orange blossom trim
Label Text:Meta Buehner wore this dress for her wedding to Edward John Noble. The Shogrens combined traditional wedding dress elements, such as tulle, lace, and wax orange blossoms, with a fashion-forward textile in an exaggerated ikat pattern. The influence of Paris fashion is evident in the fabric’s exoticism, as well as the tunic effect of the slit-skirt and the asymmetrically draped bodice. The result is a sophisticated interpretation of the “something old, something new” theme.
