Label Text:The construction of this jacket resembles that of the cutaway coats worn by men during the nineteenth century, while the unusual, asymmetrical drapery is somewhat evocative of sidesaddle riding habits worn by women. Westwood’s deep understanding of historical garment construction is evident in her designs, as is her fascination with the rich heritage of tailoring in her native Britain.
