Label Text:Ballerinas who mastered the demanding role of the swan princess Odette (one of two roles danced by a single ballerina) in Swan Lake inspired couturiers such as Robert Piguet, Pierre Balmain, and Pierre Cardin. Cardin was a great fan of the Bolshoi’s prima ballerina Maya Plisetskaya, a celebrated Odette/Odile interpreter.
