DescriptionFully boned long corset in pink and white floral brocaded silk with lace and ribbon trim, pink garters with metal snaps; CF metal bar and loops, CB lacing
Label Text:Early twentieth-century corsets rested low on the bosom, and extended over the hips. When laced, the so-called “straight-front” corset provided an “S curve” that pushed the breasts forward, pressed in the stomach, and arched the back. Although visually alluring (and pioneered by female corsetières), this corset style was highly constricting.
