DescriptionSoft wool jersey turban with cluster of three silk zinnias or dahlias
Label Text:The house of Reboux did not close after its founder's 1927 death, and it continued to be known for exquisite workmanship and high style. This turban is no exception. While the soft, draped turban was a common style at the time, this example is distinguished by the sophistication of its asymmetrical drape and its cluster of zinnias, painstakingly constructed of hand-painted silk and velvet petals. Such craftsmanship was seen as the epitome of the French Couture, which at the time was under threat of extinction.
