DescriptionIvory silk satin hip length camisole with scoop neck and rouleau straps, and seamless wide leg pants with draped corners at sides and elasticized waist, finished with zigzag edges

Label Text:This ensemble was worn by model Naomi Sims, who was fond of white because it highlighted her dark complexion. Designer Stephen Burrows recalls the first time he saw Sims, “She emerged…looking like the most beautiful woman I had ever seen…and would inspire future icons such as Pat Cleveland and Alva Chinn.” Burrows constructed these pants in the shape of a petal by wrapping silk satin around the legs.
