DescriptionDouble breasted light brown leather coat; open collar with rounded notch lapels rolling to waist are faced with faux fur; back shoulder yoke; long two piece sleeves with four leather buttons at back wrist vent; elbows covered with oval stitched patch; princess seam fitted; 7 cm half belt at back waist has double breasted closing; seam pocket in front princess seams under bust finished at either end with self triangle; patch pocket on either side has tab closed welt pocket opening; taffeta lined; three sets of leather buttons closing
Label Text:Daniel Hechter began working under his own name in 1962, while still in his early twenties. By 1965, his company was grossing more than $1.4 million per year, due in part to his work with American manufacturers. Hechter’s refined designs looked costly, belying their mass production.
