Label Text:Not all of Madame Grès's post-war fluted garments relied on the Cadolle corset, a fact readily evident in the construction of this day dress. Short-sleeved, with a small, pointed collar, the dress has a fitted bodice that sits above a full, calf-length skirt that is especially voluminous at the sides, where the couturier has gathered and fluted the fabric into small horizontal bundles that sit on the hips.
