Label Text:Pierre Cardin excelled as both a designer and a businessman. By the late 1960s, he was maintaining his couture collections, ready-to-wear lines for both men and women, licensing deals, and a line of leather clothing, exemplified by this ensemble. He made many variants on this pinafore-style dress, designed to be worn with a ribbed “poor boy” sweater.
