Label Text:Warner’s line of “Merry Widow” foundation garments was inspired by the 1952 movie of the same name, which featured Lana Turner wearing an elaborate, long-line corset. While Warner’s Merry Widows changed in style over the course of the 1950s, all were intended to reduce the measurement of the waist significantly.
