Label Text:The work of Hubert de Givenchy has a sleek, polished elegance. Givenchy trained at prestigious houses such as Fath and Schiaparelli, but was perhaps most influenced by mentor Cristobal Balenciaga, with whom he shared a similarly refined aesthetic. This handsome and aristocratic designer had a prestigious clientele, dressing many notable actresses and socialites from 1952 until his retirement in 1995.
