Label Text:The sailor-style gym suit was commonly worn during the 1910s and 1920s. Sometimes referred to as “middy,” it has the familiar bloomer trouser, but is worn with a looser, unbelted cotton blouse. Cotton is known for its absorbency and soft feel against the skin, and was no doubt a welcome change from the heavier wools worn by many athletes and schoolgirls in previous years.
