Label Text:Hawes’ time spent in Paris during the 1920s exposed her to the city’s avant-garde scene. The friendships she built with artists such as Joan Miró influenced her work, including her collaboration with Alexander Calder on accessories for her collections. The graphic squiggle design and the colorblocking of this robe applies her “outside-the-box” sensibility to menswear.
